’DALAW’ – bad script, bad direction, bad movie. I gave up during the first ten minutes and felt like it was a waste of time and money. I had high hopes before watching this since Star Cinema redefined horror movies in the Philippines with ‘Feng Shui’ and ‘Sukob.’ I couldn’t even decide which movie was better because both of them were superb. ‘Dalaw’ is definitely one of the suckiest horror movies to date in the tradition of ‘Villa Estrella,’ another cinematic nightmare. My conclusion? I will NEVER EVER watch any Dondon Santos-directed movie again! I felt cheated and secretly wished that I watched ‘Father Jejemon’ instead. At least, with this Dolphy-movie, I’m ready for the worst.

Lol, really? I thought it was a nice film, seeing Iza, Zsa Zsa and the ever-gourgeous Liz Uy endorsing it. Uhm, I know, showbiz!
Happy 2011 Flamindevil! :)))

you could’ve watched Father Jejemon instead, you will be surprised. Maganda ang Father jejemon, I didn’t expect it to be that good.
And you were right, DALAW sucks big time, I know it was Karylle, right from the very start. And aside from hating KRIS AQUINO big time, the plot was very disappointing, dunno why it even made it to the MMFF, such a waste.

hello, there. 😀
yes, i also watched this film together with my family on the first day ‘ata of the film festival. like you, i was also disappointed with the movie – direction and acting.
not the same as sukob and fengshui and certainly, a long way down compared to the myrna diones movie of kris aquino from so many years back. i really like how kris acted in that film – walang masyadong salita pero nai-deliver ang mensahe. medyo gano’n…
btw, kris aquino acted a lot better in the movie, filipinas? the one with richard gomez and maricel soriano.
hay, ang haba ng kwento ko e, first time ko yatang nag-comment dito, hehe. pasensya na, medyo mahilig talaga ako sa movies. but it’s been awhile na pala since nagbabasa at dumdalaw ako dito sa site mo. 😀
